WHERE DREAMS SPARKLE & SMILES SHINE!
ABOUT
The Junior Miss Alberta Pageant provides young girls throughout Alberta the opportunity to learn basic life values such as self-confidence, sportsmanship, determination, poise and leadership while competing in a positive atmosphere for both local & provincial titles.
We are dedicated to creating a sisterhood among all of our participants. We believe that competing in a pageant is not just about winning a crown, but also about building positive relationships, learning valuable life skills, and empowering young women to become their best selves. Our pageant is focused on creating positive role models that will inspire others to make a difference in their communities.
SISTERHOOD
Our princesses spend their reigns surrounded by positive female role models through our sisterhood with our partner pageant Calgary Pageants. Our Calgary queens are an example of strong confident women who are community orientated & our princesses learn to become empowered female leaders through the examples set for them.
HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT
Unlike typical "day pageants" for kids, which focus on winning as many crowns, titles, trophies, and prizes in a single event, our pageant offers a year-long journey of growth and empowerment. Day pageants—often referred to as Natural or Glitz pageants and popularized by shows like Toddlers & Tiaras—conclude after the awards are handed out, with no further involvement expected.
Our system is different. We are an empowerment program designed to go beyond the competition. When a contestant wins a crown and title, they embark on a year-long reign, during which they actively participate in local community events and use their platform to raise awareness for charities or causes they care about.
This reign provides an opportunity to learn important life lessons, such as the value of giving back, the rewards of volunteering, and the importance of connecting with positive role models. Through this experience, titleholders develop leadership, public speaking, socialization, and presentation skills, while also growing in empathy and compassion. Above all, it fosters confidence, self-identity, and independence.
